Shut Up

Life be lifin' - we all know this but have you ever experienced a season that was a bit of a masterclass on everything at once? When your life becomes the embodiment of 'when it rains, it pours'? When we ask God to deliver wisdom or deliverance, it rarely comes in a package that we expect. It's silly to think such prayers won't be painful otherwise, we wouldn't ask for it. Typically, we don't ask God for things we can do easily. As James 1:5 reminds us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him".

When we see things around us not going the way we would like them to (kids ain't acting right, spouse ain't, boss ain't, car ain't, the fam...) we can get frantic. We can get inside of our own heads and forget what we prayed for!

The more I practice rest and calm my mind during times of turmoil; focusing on what is truly important. (My vertical relationship, my family, my businesses, etc), the clearer I am to hear Him and feel His love + guidance. Take a moment each day to find stillness.
